All people believe that recession hit most the marketing budget. Marketing budgets are first to suffer by the recession, but according to a new report which is announced by the Chief Marketing Officer Council states, one third of worldwide marketers are planning to accrual their budget this year.
Marketing Outlook report says that near about 29% of marketers are planning to increase their business budgets. This survey indicates that overall global marketers are not planning big restructuring, that means not job cutting or not agency terminations on larger scales.
Top priorities of this year are to growth market share, lowering costs, improve efficiencies and customer insight & detention.
There are two main areas for investment in the year of 2009. first one is e-mail marketing (45%) and on line surveys and research (33%). Most of the people expecting to increase their investment by spending on search marketing and social media. While they will spend only 37% of print media and radio.
This survey was basically based on an online survey of 650 worldwide marketing executives, held from mid of January 2009 to first week of March. It includes different industries like textile,electrical,jewelry etc.
