B2B Marketplaces or Business To Business Marketplaces are commercial websites which provide a common platform to manufacturers and buyers to meet and trade with each other. These are commercial websites which allow buyers and suppliers to meet each other on net. These websites help to established new trading relationships between buyers and suppliers.
There are two types of Online Marketplace. Online B2B Marketplaces and Online B2C Marketplaces. It is necessary to understand the difference between B2B Marketplaces and B2C Marketplaces.
Online B2B Portals : Online B2b portals provide a gateway of small manufacturers to established their business in global market. Through this marketplace domestic industrial manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers and exporters can do trade with international buyers and importers. B2B portals can create a chance for doing trade in the global market. These portals optimize the product website for search engines through which various people can visit their sites. In b2b portal the target buyers are not approached directly and the product does not sell directly to the end user.
Online B2C Portals : In online B2C portals, the target customer approached directly. In b2c portal the product sell directly to the end user. Instead of other businesses, b2c portals allow to to sell products directly to end user. ebay is very common example of B2C portal. Basically b2c portal is a web site which sell products or services to individuals from around the world.
